My paintings have evolved from a strong interest in light and attempt to recreate this through the use of colour and pattern; allowing reverberation of the picture plane.
I am interested in the hand-made. Although executed with a pencil and ruler, paint is applied by brush without the use of masking techniques; this means that each original painting is a unique statement that contains its own imperfections.
My recent work which follows the optical art, is based mainly on experimental processes. Still looking at capturing light on the canvas.
